BALL x PIT is getting its final free content update. Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Kenny Sun announced that the update, called "Naturalist," arrives August 6 on both the original Switch and Switch 2.

BALL x PIT built a loyal following by mashing together deck-building roguelike progression with a Breakout-style core loop, and its post-launch support has leaned into exactly that formula — steadily adding new runs, upgrades, and systems rather than just patching bugs. Calling this the "final" free update suggests the team considers the base game's content roadmap complete, which tracks with how support cycles for smaller roguelikes tend to wind down once a game's core loop has been fully fleshed out.

Nintendo and Devolver haven't detailed exactly what's in the Naturalist update yet — no confirmed new content list, no word on whether it includes new biomes, enemies, or mechanics. We'll add specifics once they're available closer to release.
